By my color, I'm probably the easiest snake to identify! My light green or leafy green uniform color allows me to easily hide in the grass. With this unique hue, I cannot be confused with any other snake.
Our breeding season occurs in spring and early summer. I am one of the few snakes to be oviparous. Eggs are laid from June to September and the hatching is surprisingly fast as the hatchlings are already well developed in the egg at the time of spawning.
Although we are common in Québec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, our distribution is uneven. We can be quite numerous in some places and less in others.
