Our neighborhoods and backyards are home to many surprising animal species. While some may have a bad reputation, they all play a crucial role in our environment, and we, in turn, play a major part in their survival. During this activity, you’ll first learn how animals adapt to city life and then prepare an enriching breakfast for several star species in our care, such as the Raccoons and the Ravens, and perhaps even the Deer or the Ducks!
The activity lasts 2 hours. You will first attend an interactive presentation on the animals we find in and around Montreal, where you’ll learn more about their adaptations, their role in nature, and their diet! Then, once you’ve become true experts, it will be your turn to jump into action! Enjoy a hands-on experience as you prepare breakfast for the Raccoons, the Ravens, and a few surprise animals before their meal is served. This is where the magic happens: you’ll either toss your creations into the habitat or watch a zoologist enter the living space to present your hard work to the animals. You’ll witness the animals exploring and enjoying what you’ve prepared, so you certainly won’t regret bringing a camera!
The activity begins at 8:30 a.m., before the zoo opens, and ends at 10:30 a.m. The activity is led by one of our zoologists, who are experts in all things Quebec wildlife, so be sure to ask them any questions or curiosities that come to mind throughout the activity! You will then have the opportunity to visit the Ecomuseum Zoo freely as the price of admission is included in the activity cost.
Please note that children under 5 years old will not be admitted to this activity.
Reservations are required in advance required.
